I was watching some of the Dollhouse special features while I was waiting for my lunch to cook this afternoon and one of them is the actors responding to questions like "Would you ever volunteer to be a doll?" or "What imprints would you want to have?" and so on. And then they're asked if they think Joss is a doll. And, of course, Jed and Maurissa have the best answer:
Maurissa: If so, that's one funny-looking doll.
Jed: Yeah, whose fantasy is that?

01. Still working on that alphabet meme 'cause I'm slow, haven't you realized that by now. ;) That and I have a tendency to ramble. I'll post it soon.

02. Mom has been on such a "Castle" kick lately. Not that I mind. If I don't have a shift that runs over lunch, Mom and I usually watch an episode of something while we eat. For the past week and a half or so, we've just been watching Castle. I love the show - and I think it's getting better every week, I'm very impressed - so I don't mind but it's so funny that Mom is the one who keeps requesting it. Good thing they bought me the DVDs for Christmas, lol. Mom just finished reading Heat Wave, too. Apparently Dad is reading it next. Parents FTW.

03. PSYCH IS BACK TONIGHT. WOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm a little excited.

04. [info]caffrey has me watching Stargate SG-1 now. I mean, I'm only six or seven episodes in, but it's fun. Thankfully, the entire series is up on Hulu; how awesome is that? Daniel Jackson is so my guy. As if that wasn't obvious just by looking at him, lol.

05. Mentioned this on my Twitter the other day (and then got retweeted by Syfy, cool) but Syfy is re-airing Warehouse 13 starting the day after tomorrow (the 29th). It will be on Fridays at 10/9c. It's a really fun show; I definitely recommend watching it. The 2nd season starts sometime this summer.

06. I tried working on "A Particular Evil" last night and, omg, it was like pulling teeth. I shouldn't have left Ten and Eddie alone for so long. Yikes. I need to get back on a regular writing schedule.

dad instantly recognized it as a middleman jacket :)

Bones? Last night? WAS AMAZING. I loved it. Spoilers )

I have no problem with having a closing shift, but I'm puzzled by a 4-hour closing shift. I don't go in until 7:15, which on one hand is fun 'cause I get the day to do what I want but... by 7pm, I'm not really in a "go to work" mindset. This should be interesting.

OH. BUT. THIS IS COOL. Mom was going to Target this morning and I was bored so I tagged along. While I was waiting for her to print up pictures, I started wandering around the Juniors' section. And I found a jacket. That is the closest thing. To a Middleman jacket. I've ever found. It's not an Eisenhower jacket, but it's damn close. Same color, buttons, epaulets: this makes me sound like the biggest dork in the world - I know - but I felt like a badass when I tried it on. I couldn't help it. I bought it. ([info]phrasmotic, if we're ever together on Halloween, now we have to go as comic!Wendy and show!Wendy.) Here's an admittedly not-great picture of the jacket (I couldn't find a better one on Target's website).

Today was fun.

I saw "Sherlock Holmes," which I thoroughly enjoyed. Music, action, bromance, Mark Strong bad guy, sword-canes, bromance, explosions, bromance: what's not to love? It really made me want to pull out my anthology though; it's somewhere in the basement and, honestly, I don't have the time to read it now anyways. One day.

I also finished Jim Butcher's Grave Peril (finally - it took me forever and I've no idea why). I loved it; Dresden Files books are so much fun. Who knows when I'll read more - I don't have any more and my to-read pile is big enough already - but I know I'll enjoy them when I get around to it. PLEASE please please, someone who's read beyond #3, tell me that Michael Carpenter comes back? Michael was AWESOME.

I rewatched last night's Castle over breakfast. Damn, that was a good episode. After this second viewing, I think "Sucker Punch" surpasses "Vampire Weekend" as my favorite Castle ep. So much good stuff; answers and questions and sweet moments galore. "I've gotten used to you pulling my pigtails."

Apparently Weatherly and dePablo are on the cover of TVGuide this week but I wouldn't know 'cause our issue didn't come today. Booooooo. *grabby hands* Especially since NCIS was a rerun tonight, wtf.

2 memes. 'Cause I'm bored.

First, [info]zombres asked me questions from one of those question-asking memes. I suck at giving questions, but if you want me to ask you 5 questions, just comment with "interview me!"
Onto Angie's questions for yours truly... )

And the second meme: The Alphabet Meme!
1. It begins with a list of all 26 letters of the alphabet.
2. Comment with something for me to talk about that starts with one of those letters. Make me babble about anything -- TV shows, actors, actresses, food, I don't know, be creative. :D
3. One topic per letter -- it's like a claims list! I will cross off letters as topics appear. (Multiple letters ALLOWED!)
4. I will post a new post talking about all 26 topics given to me!

02. Another "Richard Castle" book is coming out in September. First: I guess that means the show is getting another season. SWEET. Second: I will totally buy it. Heat Wave was super entertaining.

03. NCIS was sooooooooo good on Tuesday. 150th episode FTW! Robert Wagner was perfect as Tony's dad, Gibbs got all protective, Tony is such a little boy at heart, and Timothy McGee is crazy adorable when he grins.

04. I got my Captain Hammer shirt in the mail the other day. (It was my Christmas present from my friend, Maria.) I love it. I feel awesome when I wear it. Hooray for fandom t-shirts!

I spent the morning listening to my updated "Chuck" playlist and playing with Legos. Were the other things I could have been doing to better spend my time? Most definitely. Would they have been half as fun? Hell no. I'll go back to real life in a bit; for the moment, lemme reflect on how nice and relaxing it felt.

Ask me one fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fic writing/etc. in general. Question can be as wacky as you want. Ask me about tv shows, characters, fanfic in general, fandom issues/meta, anything about any of my stories specifically. Whatever you want.

WE'RE BACK! Well, Dad and I are back; Mom and Ste are still in Ohio for a few more days. Let's see. What did I do. Hmmmm.

Sunday (27th): we drove.

Monday (28th): I hung out with my friend Maria. We talked and I introduced her to NCIS and exchanged Christmas presents. She got me a gift card to the Dr. Horrible store so I can pick out a t-shirt. OMG, now I just have to decide which one! Then I went to BW-3s with my family to see a bunch of people from our parish, including my first grade teacher. That was fun.

Tuesday (29th): I went up to Cleveland to hang out with Casey and VT. We ate a lot and watched four or five episodes of Firefly and generally had a blast. I miss them a lot.

Wednesday (30th): We had breakfast with BJ at Waffle House and hung out with her for a while and spontaneously met up with Colin and then saw some people Dad used to work with (including Bethany's dad) and then had dinner at a friends' house.

Thursday (31st): Had lunch with my buddy Jack and his girlfriend, Tracie. It was the first time I met Tracie but she got Jack Batman Legos and a Firefly shirt for Christmas, so I approve. ;) And I went to sleep before midnight. Woohoo.

Friday (1st): Dad and I drove back.

Things I bought in Ohio: Battlestar Galactica season 3, Battlestar Galactica season 4.5, Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde, Grave Peril by Jim Butcher (Dresden Files #3), and a Dr. Horrible wall calendar (aka THE BEST CALENDAR EVER).

I'm so cold, omg. We turned the heat off while we were gone and so the house is still trying to warm up and I'm freeeeezing. And... um.... I have a short shift tomorrow, which is fun. And I tried to go back through my flist but y'all posted A LOT so if there was something you really wanted me to see, please drop me a link so I don't miss it. Okay.

OH! I finished Heat Wave in the car on the way to Ohio. It was... honestly, I loved it. It's basically an episode of "Castle" with the names changed. Whoever wrote it did a damn good job of writing it as though the character Castle wrote it 'cause it reads like an episode. LMFAO, they pretty much gave the Ryan and Esposito characters a ship name, I'm not even kidding. Good fun.
