Last night's NCIS was okay. I don't really like Vance (I like his wife - who has been in 2 episodes - more) but this ep wasn't nearly as bad as last season's Vance episode. Mostly for me this episode was about McGee because SEAN MURRAY IS SO INCREDIBLY ADORKABLE IT'S RIDICULOUS. So here's a McGee picspam from 7x07 "Endgame."

The second half of my shift today was made tolerable because of Kyle, who was working at the register next to mine. Kyle watches Castle, Bones, Buffy, Angel, Glee, and Dollhouse and listens to Relient K. (He's never seen Firefly or Dr. Horrible; I told him he needs to take care of that.) It was nice having someone to talk to while I worked. Usually I'm up at POS by myself.

HIMYM and BBT both made me laugh out loud a LOT tonight. Solid episodes for both. (CYLON TOAST.) Okay, Castle starts with Nathan playing Guitar Hero, which is as awesome and adorable as it sounds. But in the course of the episode he gets over-protective and fatherly and then super pissed at multiple men who are taking advantage of women and OMG I HAD FORGOTTEN HOW INCREDIBLY FRAKKING HOT NATHAN FILLION IS WHEN HE'S PISSED. Gosh darn. Guh. That's all I can say.

Robert Wagner is going to play Tony's dad on NCIS. I wonder if he'll turn out to be the physically abusive alcoholic asshole fandom has assumed he is. (Oooo, if he is, does that mean we get protective!Gibbs?)

I'm very glad I don't have work tomorrow. I slacked off on my word count today - I was so tired when I got home and Monday night tv was calling to me - so I can [hopefully] catch up tomorrow.

NBC has ordered 6 more episodes of Chuck, which brings the episode total to 19. Between the increased order and the season 2 DVDs coming out January 5th, it looks more and more likely that Chuck will start in January, rather than after the Olympics in March. WOOT.

Mark Harmon interview with TVGuide and Cote de Pablo's, too. And, true to form, Weatherly invades Cote's interview. :D I love that, when asked, she says they'll do this show as long as Mark wants to. David said the same thing in an interview once. I love that they all kind of defer to him as team leader.

I work 1-9:30 today. Ugh. I hope today is better than yesterday; yesterday, every other customer was either rude, asked me questions I couldn't answer, had kids they weren't controlling, etc. And I was the only cashier on the women's side and we were just busy enough that I had to keep calling for additional cashiers and I feel like those people were getting cranky with me for constantly calling them away from their other jobs. Ugh. Thank God I have tomorrow off; I want to organize all my NaNoWriMo notes and maybe watch "Patriot Games" 'cause I've had this random urge to watch that movie for a week now.

I just rewatched "A Hole In The World" and I'd honestly forgotten how soul-crushing that episode is. I mean, I knew I was going to be sad watching it, but I forgot how hard it hits. And part of me wants to say Fred's line is way more depressing than Penny's 'cause we've known her longer and she's trying to be so brave and she and Wes just got together, but there's something about Penny's line, and knowing what Billy did, and knowing that Captain Hammer won't save them, and all that mixed together that breaks my heart, too. DAMN YOU, JOSS WHEDON.

Other awesome things from this episode (which is now totally my favorite episode of Castle):
• FEED THE BIRDS! Again.
• Buffy reference! Woot.
• Nosferatu!!!!!!!! I love love love Nosferatu.
• THERE WAS DIRT IN THE COFFIN. Bravo, props department.
• I think Rick Castle is the best tv dad. Seriously. He's so goofy and fun but when it comes to his daughter and her well-being (and that of her friends) he's dead serious, no questions asked. I love it so much.
• Loved that Beckett's Frank Miller question was the sexiest thing Castle's ever heard.
• When Castle did his crazy laugh, my dad said (I love my dad) "Is he Captain Hammer now?"
• "I like it!" OH CASTLE, WE LIKE IT, TOO.

Basically the whole episode was made of win.

And because everyone should see these: Zachary Levi singing "Luck Be A Lady" and Matt Bomer singing "O Holy Night" (start at 1:40) (and, no, I have no clue what that's from).

ETA: Interesting interview with Damon Lindelof, including his (in my opinion) surprising answer to the "least favorite episode" question. Gosh, I'm gonna miss him and Carlton.

Dollhouse 2x04: Belonging
You know who I love? I love Jed and Maurissa and Dichen and Enver and Fran and Harry. That's who I love.

I love that while everyone who works for the Dollhouse is having their morals chipped away bit by bit, Topher is actually gaining a conscience. I thought it was harsh the way Adelle said he was chosen because he had no morals, that people have always been his playthings, but it seems true. But he's changing. He didn't do what Adelle wanted. He sent Priya. And I love him for that. He's not the monster he was. He just... honestly thought he was helping.

Victor was killing me tonight. Taking the black paint away because Sierra didn't like it. Sitting on the floor just waiting for her. And Priya knowing that she loved him without even knowing him. (They even had a connection when he was a Doll and she wasn't!) (Nice accent, Enver.)

Dichen was, as all the early reviews claimed, just fan-freaking-tastic. Bravo.

Boyd fascinates me. In the beginning of the first season, he seemed to have some many problems with what was going on morally that I couldn't figure out why is was there. And now he seems to have fewer and fewer problems with things. And Adelle said that everyone who is chosen to work there had some sort of moral quandary or something, so I'm curious to know about Boyd pre-Dollhouse.

Just an amazing episode overall. Definitely my favorite since Epitaph One. Jed and Maurissa FTFW.

White Collar 1x01
Fun pilot! It was everything I was expecting... which is good. I really really enjoyed it. It's interesting and cute and funny and Matt Bomer has joined my I Love Actors With Crazy Gorgeous Blue Eyes Club (I'm lookin' at you, TJ Thyne and Mark Harmon). And the man knows how to wear a suit. Peter's got the right mix of admiration and exasperation. Can't wait to watch more.
By the way, whoever decided that Mark Sheppard should be the first bad guy? High five, dude. Everyone loves a little Mark Sheppard in their show. :D

For the longest time it has driven me crazy that I have all of the Harry Potter books in hardback except for Sorcerer's Stone. I only had that one in paperback (2 copies).

I just went to the used bookstore and they had a copy that looks BRAND SPANKIN' NEW and since it was used and I had credit it only cost $7.

I HAVE A COMPLETE HARDBACK SET OF HARRY POTTER.

I love that Ziva kept quoting Gibbs' rules throughout the episode.
They better treat Ziva like a probie, but they're not allowed to call her "Probie." McGee's "Probie," end of story.
GGIIIIIBBBBBBBBSSSS. "Go. Get outta here. Run! You tell Eli David to stay away. She's off limits!" Gibbs is like the #1 guy to have on your side, isn't he?

• The 3 Nov episode will be noteworthy: we get to see the inside of Gibbs' house. Something besides his basement. I'm oddly excited for this.
• Behind-the-scenes photos from the LA Times. This cast. This caaaaaast. This one is my favorite. I'm constantly astounded they get anything done with Weatherly around.
• Michael Weatherly is singing a song on the NCIS Soundtrack Vol. 2. No, seriously. I need that song.
