On Twitter, TVGuide's Matt Roush suggested they rename the Emmys "The 'You Again?' Awards." That would be accurate.

Entertainment-wise, that was probably the best Emmys I've ever seen. But I'm super disappointed by a lot of the winners.

So far, today is an awesome day.

• I finished all of my chores by 10:30a.
• I'm halfway through Flashforward by Robert J. Sawyer (I love reading on our screen porch).
• I watched an episode of Big Bang Theory over breakfast and half of WALL-E over lunch.
• Vitina should be here in about an hour or so for 24 HOURS OF FUN. And by fun I mean "finishing The Middleman, going to used bookstores, eating mac'n'cheese, and playing MarioKart before she must return to Dayton."
• This bit of Emmy news from Ausiello: Sources confirm to me exclusively that host Neil Patrick Harris will headline a Dr. Horrible-themed production number about midway through Sunday’s ceremony. Score! FLAIL.

There are some I'm really happy about (Dr. Horrible! Jim Parsons! HIMYM! No Piven!) and some snubs I'm super pissed about (McCreary! Giacchino! BSG! Elizabeth Mitchell!) but I have to say one thing:

@theTVaddict Rumor has it that the cast of DR. HORRIBLE'S SING-A-LONG blog will be performing a number from the show on Emmy Night. Pass it on.

IF THAT IS TRUE, I MAY DIE OF AWESOME. I'M NOT KIDDING. BETWEEN IT GETTING NOMINATED AND NEIL HOSTING AND THEM SINGING, I WOULD DIE OF AWESOME.

Damn I wish I still had a Horrible icon. I need some new icons, don't I?

02. My Poli-Sci exam is at noon but I'm not too worried. The midterm took me fifteen minutes (no kidding). After that, I just have to survive my Shakespeare exam and finishing this CORE paper (both of which might honestly kill me) and I'm good to go.

04. I randomly watched an episode of "Magic School Bus" a few days ago and it had this awesome quote: "The only way to stop a teacher-vampire is to drive a textbook through her heart!" Shows were always so much cooler when we were kids, yeah?

Before I get to Oscar stuff, am I the only one who thought that with the notable exception of Rainn's opening monologue, SNL was still not funny last night?

( Fact: I haven't seen a vast majority of the movies nominated tonight. )

This is a pretty lame Mardi Gras.

I forgot my Geaux Tigers shirt at home so I've got nothing Mardi-Gras-ish to wear, I forgot to bring/have Mom send the decorations we bought last year so we haven't decorated anything either, and we don't have any parties or anything to go to. Oh yeah, and I'm gonna be studying for my Sociology test all night. Ugh. Tomorrow's gonna be crap, too: four classes (one of which is my sociology test) then work for two hours, then straight to mass so I'll be running around campus for at least eight hours straight. UGH. At least I don't have anything big due on Thursday.

On the very small upside: the Crestaurant is selling king cake by the slice. Mmmmmmmm. And I was worried I wouldn't get any this year (I didn't last year).


ETA: Saturn Award Noms. Could Best Supporting Actor TV have a few more awesome people? Dang. Also: Dexter Morgan > Jack Bauer, for the record.
