01. Last night's Warehouse 13 was good. Not as good as last week's, but still good. I missed Leena, though. Loved "Suck it, Magneto!" And next week: MARK SHEPPARD. Huzzah.

02. Kunal Nayyar photoshoot - Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds him incredibly attractive. Can't wait for BBT to start back up on the 21st.

03. As of last night, it's been a year since The Middleman finished. Boo. (I was playing around in my archives today.)

04. And, y'know, one more week until new GLEE. I'm so glad the new TV season is starting up again. Even if it means I have the finale of Warehouse 13 airing right after the premiere of NCIS on the 22nd. Whatever. NEW TV. I've missed you, shows.

Pop Culture Zoo's podcast interview with Javi, Matt, and Natalie at Comic-Con.
LISTEN TO THIS. Fun stuff, but the best part is around minute 16 when Matt starts telling a story about his 3-year-old son reciting Middleman lines and pretending to be the Middleman and making Matt be Wendy. OMG SO PRECIOUS.

Okay, dudes, we need new tv STAT. Otherwise I'm just gonna ramble on about The Middleman forever and while I don't really have a problem with that, I would like to ramble about other shows as well. Like HIMYM [mostly because of this promo picture ] or NCIS ['cause Pauley says Weatherly is totally awesome in the premiere] or FRAKKING GLEE WHY IS IT NOT 9 SEPT YET? Or any of my shows. I'm not picky. Let's just get this season started, shall we?

If anyone else has been anxiously awaiting the chance to order their very own copy of The Middleman: Doomsday Armageddon Apocalypse, it is now available to order from Viper Comics' website. You can also get the Collected Series Indispensability, as long as you don't mind the ABC Family cover.

OMG I'M SO EXCITED. I don't even care that I know everything that happens. I JUST WANT IT IN MY HANDS.

In other news: ....I have no other news. I applied for another job. I read some more of Forever Peace. I vacuumed the house. Wow, I live an exciting life.

Just finished my rewatch of The Middleman. ♥

Spoilers for the whole series, plus the 13th episode. )

For the record, the Code 47 still breaks my heart and I want my own Tyler Ford.

Title: But The Rest Of Us Do What We Must In Constant Compromise
Summary: The Middleman never mentions the ultimate sacrifice. Wendy takes her cues from him but she can't help acknowledging it. Post 1x13 "Doomsday Armageddon Apocalypse" (the episode from Comic-Con). MAJOR SPOILERS if you haven't watched the video/read the graphic novel.
Words: 563
Disclaimer: It all belongs to Javi.
Notes: Title comes from a line in the song (amusingly enough) "Middleman" by Bright Eyes. Like I said before, SPOILERS for the unfilmed episode. Don't say I didn't warn you.

[info]entwashian took this picture at the Middleman panel (along with a bunch of others) and I cannot describe the joy it gives me. I made it my desktop wallpaper last night. Could Matt and Mary Pat look any happier? I love this cast.

It took us over two hours and we had to drive to four stores, but I finally got my Middleman DVDs! (By the way, I have the best brother in the world because he didn't complain when my "quick trip to Best Buy" turned into that.)

What I've watched on the DVD so far, PLUS my long-winded commentary on the FULL video of the SDCC table read! )

I wrote on Twitter to Javi and Natalie "Thank you for such a fun, crazy, hilarious, awesome show. I'm so happy and proud to be a Middlefan" and I got a "thank you!!!!" back from Natalie. I feel awesome.

01. Meme! Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.
[info]zombres gave me: Dr. Jack Hodgins, Christopher Moore, The Middleman, Joss Whedon, and The West Wing. )

02. Two more reviews for The Middleman DVDs: ComicsWorthReading and EclipseMagazine. The latter give us this little awesome tidbit:
As an added little bonus, the back covers of the slimpaks [which are designed to look like The Middleman and Wendy’s personnel files] that contain the four DVDs feature four of the many fake ID cards used by The Middleman and Dubbie in their investigations – there are IDs for each for the following: U.S. Department of the Interior; Atkinson Memorial Insane Asylum; American Shrimp & Crab Processors, and the Mossad.

Speaking of TMM, check out RTVW Online's photo gallery from the panel read. They're all so darn adorable.

03. Chuck's Comic-Con panel is up on Hulu. "Awright, nuggets!" I love this cast so much. Adam and Zac in particular.

04. Really random (but cute) interview with Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly; they're kind of awesome. I suppose I'll stop my crazy Middlemarathon tomorrow for Warehouse 13.

05. Bamber's gonna be on Dollhouse! Bamber! And his arms! ;)

06. Even numbers.

The Middleman is the Best Show No One Very Few People Watched
Or, Why You Should Buy The DVDs Tomorrow, July 28th

Fighting evil so you don't have to! )

The short version:
This show can be summed up in one word: FUN. The characters are unique, the situations they deal with are hilarious, the dialogue is smart and funny, the pop culture references are everywhere, and it all comes together in amazing little 42-minute packages just for you. I fell completely in love with this show by the end of the pilot and, in my opinion, the show only goes up from there. So go buy the DVDs and fall in love with the show, too!

Family is out so I'm trying to catch up on LJ/Twitter and read all the Comic-Con goodness.

Dule Hill dancing at the Psych panel - according to the Psych twitter, the entire panel will be online Tuesday. SCORE.
Mark Sheppard is Mr. Everywhere - one day I'll make an icon that says that.
Interview with Matt, Javi, and Natalie (post script read) - They're all just SO FANTASTIC. Matt should wear black t-shirts all the time. I'm just sayin'. [NOTE: Javi does spoil something from the original comics at the end, if you haven't read them and want to.]
Comic-Con Chuck poster - *COVETS* OMG.
"Cabin in the Woods" teaser posters - LOVE.
• Jonathan Coulton is coming to STL in September. Hmmmm. I'm very tempted.

Caught up on "Warehouse 13" this afternoon. The more I see, the more I love. I ♥ Pete.

ETA: Clips from the Middleman panel!!!! It's not the full thing but it's still awesome. Reactions as I watch... ) Gosh darn, just listening to this is making me so happy to have a tiny bit more and so sad that it's over and that (graphic novel aside) we'll never actually see this episode.

Wow. My room is a mess.

The vast majority of my bookshelves were wall-mounted and stayed with the house in Ohio. Every other box I open in this room has books in it. There are two 18-gallon RoughTotes in the basement full of my books. I have one 4-shelf bookcase in my room. This... is a problem.

We got 36-inch extensions for the pullstrings on my ceiling fan. Now they hit me in the face when I walk through the room.

Good news: my West Wing mug, Darth Vader helmet candy dish, and shot glass from Ireland arrived whole and intact.

When I take a break from unpacking I check Twitter and think mean thoughts about all the people who went to The Middleman panel today. That is the absolutely number one thing I'm bummed about missing this year. (All snatched from Twitter: io9 report, IGN report, picture 1, picture 2, Zap2It's pictures) I'm reading everything I can find about this panel, and the more I read the more upset I get that I wasn't there. I know the Middleman's name.

The DNA poster I made for sophomore year [high school] biology is hanging in my closet.

01. Apparently the "Dr. Horrible cast singing at the Emmys" rumor was completely unsubstantiated. Boo. I think it should happen anyways.

02. Jim Parsons is one of the most adorable people on earth.

03. iFMagazine.com interview with Javi (Part 1). My favorite Q&A:
iF: Any chance someone will record the Comic Con reading [of the 13th episode] and then post it online?

GRILLO-MARXUACH: The thing I learned from working on LOST is whatever you say or do at Comic Con lands up on YouTube or somewhere else in half hour. I’m hoping that either someone at Shout Factory (the DVD distributor) or ABC Family will film it. Or I will have it up on my site.

I also loved: We had some ideas for a second season and wanted to begin it like 10 years later where Wendy was the Middleman and she had an apprentice and Matt’s Middleman character was retired and grumpy. GRUMPY RETIRED MIDDLEMAN MATT. I LOVE IT. ♥

I haven't had much time to post lately and when I do have time to post I have nothing more to say than "Hey, we did more moving stuff today." Sorry I have been commenting even less than usual. These days are crazy. I have plans to see Harry Potter tomorrow with Jack and I'm going to Build-A-Bear with Maria on Friday and I have to clean out Hugo because we're selling him (;_;) on Saturday or Sunday. Also, Ste got an iPod Touch (he needs one for school) and I kinda hate him for it 'cause it's pretty darn nifty.

I leave you with this: A picspam about how Josh Lyman and Seeley Booth are basically the same person. LOL, I LOVE IT.

P.S. In the midst of The Silver Chair right now. Puddleglum is pretty cool. I think I'm going to reread all of HP, not just Deathly Hallows when I'm done.

P.P.S. Middleman DVDs in TWO WEEKS.

First review of The Middleman DVDs

It's very positive overall and it lets us know who does commentary on what episodes. I can't freaking wait for the "Palindrome" commentary: it's Javi, Matt, and Natalie. GAH. And there are a lot of people talking on the "Cursed Tuba" commentary, darn. I'm a little bummed that we don't get audition footage for Matt, but I'm super glad we get it for Mary Pat. I'm still over the moon that we get the table read for "Palindrome," too. I just wish this DVD was in my hands already. I honestly don't remember a time when I was this excited about a DVD set. Two things tonight:

Thing the First:
Photobucket
To be honest, the thing I'm the most upset about missing at this year's Comic-Con is all the Middlegoodies. The live reading of the 13th episode by the cast. The early release of the DVD set. And (as is illustrated by the image above, courtesy of the new Middleblog and drawn by the awesome Les McClaine) the release of The Doomsday Armageddon Apocalypse comic book. I really, really need to get a copy of this.

Thing the Second: I'm thinking of bringing my The West Wing Official Companion Book to Screaming Tiki so Eddie could sign either the page for "The Short List" or "Celestial Navigation." I'm thinking about it. Good idea? Bad idea? Completely ambivalent idea?

are you chewing gum?

ETA: It's confirmed: the entire cast will be at Comic-Con to do a live reading of the 13th episode. (Also at link: a new picture of Matt!)
ETA2: Just finished watching the video podcast with Natalie and Javi. I have such a huge girlcrush on Natalie right now, it's insane.

02. Picspams! Laura Roslin vs. Jed Bartlet / Chris Pine / The cast of Star Trek / I'M ON A SHIP

03. Icons! HIMYM/Chris Pine/Glee and Chuck

04. I finished Odd Hours today. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first three Odd books, but it was still Odd so I did enjoy it. The end didn't really feel like an end though; c'mon Koontz, you gotta give us more Odd! I'm about to start Storm Front by Jim Butcher. It's the first Dresden Files book; Jack got it for me for graduation. He's been trying to get me to read this series for a long while.

05. 66 days until The Middleman DVDs come out.

06. Aaaaand to make this an even number, check out this gorgeous picture of Neil Gaiman and his dog, Cabal.

Save Chuck campaigns make CNN (cool!) and Nestle is gonna send Nerds (the candy) to NBC (awesome!). Make sure you scroll down and check out the picture of Zach Levi and Josh Gomez posing with Nerds.

Special Edition Dollhouse DVDs available only at Comic-Con. *sigh* Oh Comic-Con...

Check out all the different DVD covers Shout! Factory had to choose from for The Middleman DVDs. That's kinda nifty.

My phone needs to ring right.... NOW. I said NOW. Ring, dangit. This isn't working.
